The vacancy
The Dean Close Foundation is looking to appoint a Piano/Keyboard Teacher to join its thriving Music Department as a Visiting Music Teacher (VMT). This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished musician and teacher to work with enthusiastic pupils across both the Senior and Prep Schools in a highly supportive and well-resourced musical environment.
For a suitable candidate, there may also be opportunities for additional work as an accompanist for ensembles, concerts, and examinations.
The VMT will deliver one-to-one piano lessons to pupils across the Senior and Prep Schools during the academic year. Teaching will be tailored to individual pupil needs and may include preparation for external examinations (e.g. ABRSM or Trinity), performances, and concerts.
The successful candidate will have experience in teaching pupils from Beginner to Grade B standard and with a proven track record of entering pupils successfully for external examinations.
