Dean Close Kingham Hill School is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Teacher of Physics and Engineering to join our Science department. This is an exciting opportunity to teach Physics up to Key Stage 5, alongside contributing to our Engineering BTEC provision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Physics and Engineering to a high standard, including GCSE, A Level and BTEC.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement.
  • Support pupils of all abilities to achieve excellent academic outcomes.
  • Promote STEM pathways, including engineering and physical sciences.
  • Maintain high standards of laboratory safety and organisation.
  • Contribute to enrichment activities such as clubs, trips and competitions.
  • Engage positively with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching across KS3 to KS5, inspiring pupils through engaging, practical and intellectually challenging lessons. You will play a key role in shaping a dynamic Physics curriculum, supporting pupils to develop curiosity, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Experience of teaching Pearson Edexcel BTEC Engineering and connecting Physics to real-world engineering applications would be an advantage.
