Dean Close Kingham Hill School are looking to appoint a Head of Design Technology & Engineering to lead and teach KS3 to KS5 including BTEC Engineering, delivering an ambitious curriculum that promotes creativity, technical excellence and strong pupil outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead curriculum development and drive high standards in teaching and learning.
  • Teach across Design Technology and Engineering disciplines to GCSE, BTEC and A-Level.
  • Ensure safe and effective workshop practice in line with health and safety requirements.
  • Lead and develop staff within the department and the wider Foundation.
  • Inspire and challenge pupils of all abilities, supporting progression into STEM pathways.
  • Develop enrichment opportunities and external partnerships.
  • Manage departmental resources, facilities and budgets.
