The vacancy
Dean Close Kingham Hill School are looking to appoint a Head of Design Technology & Engineering to lead and teach KS3 to KS5 including BTEC Engineering, delivering an ambitious curriculum that promotes creativity, technical excellence and strong pupil outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead curriculum development and drive high standards in teaching and learning.
- Teach across Design Technology and Engineering disciplines to GCSE, BTEC and A-Level.
- Ensure safe and effective workshop practice in line with health and safety requirements.
- Lead and develop staff within the department and the wider Foundation.
- Inspire and challenge pupils of all abilities, supporting progression into STEM pathways.
- Develop enrichment opportunities and external partnerships.
- Manage departmental resources, facilities and budgets.
The successful candidate will be an inspiring and skilled practitioner with strong subject knowledge, technical expertise and leadership ability. They will be committed to innovation, collaboration and delivering an inclusive, future-focused curriculum.
