The Dean Close School is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Physics to join our thriving Senior School. Located on a beautiful 50-acre site on the edge of Cheltenham, Dean Close is a co-educational day and boarding school for 13–18 year olds, founded in 1886 and rooted in a strong Christian ethos.

The successful candidate will teach Physics across Years 9–13, including GCSE (AQA Separate Science and Trilogy) and A Level (AQA). Physics is a popular subject, with strong uptake at GCSE and around 20 students progressing to A Level each year. The department is well resourced, with three dedicated laboratories, a specialist technician, and excellent facilities. Enrichment opportunities include Physics Olympiad entries, a developing Greenpower programme, and Sixth Form trips to CERN.

We are looking for an inspiring and academically rigorous teacher who can engage pupils of all abilities and contribute fully to the life of a busy boarding school. This includes tutoring and involvement in co-curricular activities such as sport, trips and house life. Applications are welcomed from experienced teachers and ECTs alike.
