This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

Dean Close foundation are looking to appoint a tech savvy, individual to join our IT team as an apprentice. Working alongside our Head of IT and IT Support Engineers, you will gain hands-on experience supporting classroom technology whilst supporting the wider foundation troubleshooting devices, learning our networks and cyber security. Other roles and responsibilities include:

  • Support the setup and maintenance of classroom tech (whiteboards, projectors, software)
  • Provide first-line technical support to staff and students
  • Monitor and maintain network performance and security
  • Assist with IT support across our nurseries in Wales
  • Document IT procedures and create user-friendly guides
  • Collaborate with the wider Foundation IT team on projects

The successful candidate will have a keen interest in IT and has ideally been studying or completed a course in an IT related Field. Ideally, we would like the candidate to have a driving license or working towards this.

You will gain a wealth of knowledge and experience working with experienced IT professionals, who will be able to support mentor you development with a clear pathway into such roles as IT Support Specialist, Network Administrator, or EdTech Coordinator.
