Dean Close Foundation is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Pastoral Assistant to join our boarding community and support pupils’ pastoral, spiritual, and personal development.

Working as part of a boarding house team, you will provide day-to-day care and welfare support for pupils, contribute to house activities and events, and encourage students’ academic, social, and spiritual growth. You will also play an active role in the wider life of the school, supporting our Co-curricular programme of activities such as sport, music, outdoor pursuits, as well as assisting with lesson supervision and invigilation.

In partnership with the Chaplaincy team, the role includes leading Christian Union groups, Bible studies, and services, contributing to chapel life, and offering pastoral and administrative support. Ongoing ministry training and regular mentoring form an important part of the role.

The successful candidate will be a graduate (or equivalent), highly motivated, well organised, and confident working with children and young people. You will demonstrate strong Christian faith, integrity, teamwork, initiative, and a genuine desire to grow in Gospel ministry within a Christian educational setting.

This role is subject to a Genuine Occupational Requirement for the post-holder to be a practising evangelical Christian.
