Dean Close Prep School are looking to recruit for a new Registrar. This is a part time role for the right candidate, offering a salary of £20,800 per annum, working 42 weeks per year.

The post provides an opportunity to join a busy and expanding department, providing administrative support, and handling all aspects of pupil admissions in a leading independent boarding and day school.

The responsibilities and required skills of the Admissions Team are outlined below, and there is flexibility in assigning specific responsibilities within the Team, including sometimes across schools within the Foundation.

  • To manage all aspects of administration related to the admission of new pupils.
  • To promote the School at every level, fostering excellent relationships with prospective parents, prospective pupils, and staff of feeder schools and agencies
  • To support the Head of Admissions at the Prep School’s work at all levels, and to be responsible for managing the Admissions Coordinator on a day-to-day basis,
  • To show visiting parents and pupils around the School site as required.
  • To arrange taster and examination days for prospective pupils, in liaison with House and other key staff.
  • To keep meticulous records and provide regular reports as requested.
  • To assist in the preparation for, and attend, Open Mornings and other marketing and admissions related events.
  • To attend weekly review and planning meetings with the Admissions and Marketing Teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who has superb customer care and sales skills and excellent organisational skills with a meticulous eye for detail.
